Field
In this position you will travel across North America supporting automation projects, performing on‑site checks, testing systems, and keeping customers and project teams informed of progress.
For those who’d rather be on the move than behind a desk, we’re opening our 2026 hiring pipeline now for curious, adaptable problem‑solvers who love travel, hands‑on work, and being part of a team that actually knows your name. If you can laugh through flight delays, figure things out on the fly, and enjoy solving complex problems, this role could be a perfect fit.
We are looking for candidates who love travel, have a solid foundation in electrical and programming concepts, and demonstrate adaptability, strong communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
Physical Requirements. The role requires the ability to walk long distances across large facilities, climb ladders or work at heights, lift and move up to 50 lb, and stand, kneel, or reach for extended periods in varied environments such as construction sites, outdoors, or hot/cold conditions. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
We believe in transparency. Our four‑week paid training prepares technically skilled individuals for field work, and success requires a basic foundation in electrical systems, programming, and communication networking. If you’re new to these areas, this role may not yet be the right fit.
Work + Travel, Combined. You’ll experience new cities, tackle unique projects, and earn travel rewards while working directly with customers across North America. There is no office to report to, and you’ll be away from home while you’re working.
Fair Pay That Grows With You. Starting salary ranges from $60,000 to $75,000, depending on location, education, and experience. In addition, you’ll receive per‑diem for meals, mileage reimbursement, utilization and weekend bonuses, plus the trust and teamwork of a people‑first company.
Room to Grow. We invest in your development through paid training, annual merit raises, and a 5 % salary increase after six months. You can learn, advance, and build a career that can take you in multiple directions, with ProAutomated cheering you on even if you move on later.
Real Benefits + Real Flexibility. Our package includes health, dental, and life insurance, a matching 401(k), short‑ and long‑term disability options, paid vacation, and flexible time off after 18 months. We take care of you on and off the job.
A Team That Gives You Community. We’re a smaller, people‑first company where teamwork, adaptability, and humor are part of the job. All leaders have grown into their positions, so your manager has done what they’re asking you to do, and you’ll be surrounded by people who have your back.
