Ensure quality delivery through robust inspection and test plans.
Collaborate with the System Engineering Team to compile and issue documentation to clients.
Prepare technical documents, drawings, and specifications for construction works.
Conduct technical feasibility reviews, calculations, and system design for tenders.
Implement inspection and test plans and quality checks on-site.
Participate in HAZID/HAZOP, DRM, progress, and interface meetings.
Ensure adherence to NKT Engineering Policies and Procedures.
Provide technical responsibility for quotations, project documentation, and engineering deliverables for HVAC land cable projects.
Manage design change control and ensure compliance with client specifications.
Deliver installation engineering support, including construction drawings and detailed designs.
Maintain accurate and complete technical documentation for construction and commissioning.
Support project teams during technical negotiations, FATs, and acceptance tests.
Deliver projects in collaboration with NKT’s Cologne factory and supply chain partners.

Experience with principal contractor and designer roles.
Extensive commercial awareness and knowledge of H&S, environmental, and sustainability legislation.
Office-based when within 50 miles of an NKT office (Teesside or Perth); remote working available otherwise.
IOSH Safety Management and CDM Awareness.
Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Approx. 50% travel (UK/IE projects and European NKT facilities for FATs and meetings).
Minimum 5 years’ experience on large EHV engineering projects.
Previous experience with EHV/HV cable systems.
