The role of Assistant Maintenance Technician supports daily service requests, unit make‑readies, and apartment upgrades while performing general maintenance such as plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and pool upkeep. The technician works closely with the Lead Maintenance Technician, maintains a safe and clean environment, participates in the on‑call rotation, uses personal tools professionally, and delivers exceptional customer service to residents and coworkers.
Candidates must have at least two years of multifamily apartment maintenance experience, a valid HVAC license, and strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliances, pools, and general repairs. They should possess troubleshooting and time‑management skills, a personal set of basic hand tools, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well in a team. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation is required. Applicants must live within a 20‑mile radius of the property or be willing to relocate.
The position involves regular physical activity such as standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lb (or 100 lb with assistance), climbing, stooping, kneeling, and reaching, primarily in an outdoor environment with occasional off‑site tasks. All employees must follow the company’s uniform policy, which is provided on the first day.
