The Renewables Tech (levels I‑III) supports multiple photovoltaic plant sites across Duke Energy Florida, handling on‑demand troubleshooting, emergency repairs, design changes, equipment modifications, and O&M support for both new plant start‑ups and long‑term operations. Responsibilities include work scheduling, maintenance, equipment installation, and ensuring equipment performance and reliability.
The position requires field mobility, 12‑hour rotating shifts, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and extended hours as plant conditions dictate. Employees must wear required personal protective equipment, lift up to 50 lb, tolerate extreme temperatures, and be within a one‑hour commute to their site. Travel accounts for 5‑15 % of time, and a valid driver’s license and successful MASS test completion are mandatory.
