The role supports the Topsides Engineering Project Manager in delivering multidisciplinary topsides design, overseeing engineering deliverables, schedule, manpower and ensuring compliance with quality, safety and system standards.
Key responsibilities include preparing and managing project documentation and drawings, forecasting resources, organizing interdisciplinary reviews, liaising with customers, subcontractors and internal teams, monitoring design progress, handling 3‑D model clashes, and producing weekly progress reports and action plans.
The incumbent will lead design reviews, coordinate boundaries between hull and topside modules, manage man‑hour budgets, track pending issues, maintain punch and hold lists, support change management (MOC), and assist in project close‑out and lessons‑learned activities.
- Support the Topsides Engineering Project Manager in engineering deliverables, man‑hour and schedule control.
- Interpret contract scope and coordinate with topsides subcontractors.
- Prepare key project documentation per specifications.
- Manage topsides drawings and cross‑discipline technical documents.
- Forecast schedule, resources and budget for topsides design activities.
- Organize interdisciplinary review meetings and interface checks.
- Participate in project meetings, report status and address technical queries.
- Liaise with customers, vendors, consultants and cross‑functional teams to resolve issues.
- Conduct design reviews and track action items to closure.
- Identify dependencies and align stakeholders to safeguard safety and quality.
- Compile and retain project documentation and lessons learned.
- Review and comment on discipline deliverable lists.
- Define module boundaries between hull and topside with design teams and clients.
- Prioritize shared‑license usage across disciplines.
- Monitor and control design man‑hours against budget.
- Record and follow up pending design issues, reporting to engineering manager.
- Expedite information flow to enable design work start and completion.
- Monitor 3‑D model clash issues across disciplines.
- Produce weekly reports on design progress, issues, resource usage and action plans.
- Lead internal and external topsides design review sessions.
- Organize, record and file meeting minutes with external parties.
- Update and monitor weekly punch and hold lists, especially for external parties.
- Support project planner in client‑facing weekly/monthly design status reports.
- Assist commercial team with variation orders related to topsides design.
- Ensure design activities comply with the project quality plan.
- Coordinate with construction and commissioning teams for priority alignment.
- Manage interfaces with class societies, regulators and clients.
- Aid in project close‑out, including as‑built documentation and reports.
- Coordinate change management (MOC) with discipline leads.
- Anticipate and monitor potential changes to minimize surprises, costs and delays.
- Oversee subcontractor and consultant interfaces ensuring MOC compliance.

Required qualifications are a bachelor’s degree in engineering, strong interpersonal and influencing abilities, capability to work with diverse stakeholders, and a high awareness of safety practices in oil‑and‑gas facility design and construction.
