Construction Project Manager

Description

The Project Manager reports directly to the General Manager or Owner and is tasked with serving the community when it needs help most. This role oversees the coordination and completion of restoration construction projects, hires and manages tradespeople, and ensures homeowners can safely return to their homes or businesses. The position also emphasizes daily learning about restoration techniques and setting realistic expectations for all stakeholders.

Project Managers professionally represent the company’s principles, manage schedules, conduct field inspections, maintain project documentation, and address any concerns or complaints with a servant‑hearted approach. • Manage end‑to‑end restoration construction projects, ensuring timelines, quality, and homeowner satisfaction.
• Recruit, hire, supervise, and schedule tradespeople for residential and light‑commercial jobs.
• Conduct field inspections, pre‑construction meetings, and ongoing progress checks.
• Maintain project documentation: work authorizations, change orders, completion certificates, etc.
• Communicate project status to owners, accountants, and internal teams; handle concerns and complaints professionally.
• Utilize Paul Davis’s computer database system for scheduling, tracking, and reporting.
• Provide accurate estimates and set realistic expectations for property owners.
• Uphold Paul Davis principles of honesty, integrity, and exceptional customer service.

Requirements

Qualified candidates possess knowledge of residential and light‑commercial building components, prior construction management or insurance restoration experience, and strong planning, organizational, and communication skills. A valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, and either a bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience are required, along with proficiency in current technology and a commitment to continuous learning.
