The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, architects, and contractors, reviewing plans and specifications to provide accurate, competitive estimates and assist in proposal development and pre‑construction strategy. Their analytical insight will help identify challenges and opportunities early, enhancing project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Perform detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and project timelines for commercial construction projects.
- Review and analyze construction drawings and specifications to prepare accurate take‑offs.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to develop project scopes and strategies.
- Prepare, maintain, and update cost estimation databases and standard procedures for estimating.
- Identify and evaluate potential subcontractors and suppliers to solicit bids and quotations.
- Lead pre‑construction meetings, ensuring clear communication among all project stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for client meetings.
- Monitor market trends, collaborate with vendors, and review historical data to improve estimation practices.
- Utilize software tools for estimating, scheduling and project management to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Support the project lifecycle from initial estimate through project closeout, ensuring compliance with budget and schedules.

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, and have at least five years of commercial construction estimating experience, including pre‑construction management. Strong analytical, mathematical, and communication skills, proficiency with estimating software and MS Office, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment are essential.

- Demonstrated success in pre‑construction management.
- Knowledgeable in interpreting plans and specifications.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred (not required).
