Project Manager

Description

• Manage cross-functional project teams and third-party contractors, removing barriers to execution and fostering a culture of performance and accountability.
• Define project WBS, Cost Baseline, and OBS structures, and ensure alignment with contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee Initiation, Planning, Execution, and Close-out phases.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects with varying scopes across Data Centers, Transmission, and Substation builds.
• Provide strategic leadership in a matrixed environment, driving alignment across engineering, construction, procurement, and client teams.
• Provide oversight on construction and commissioning activities, ensuring delivery to scope and safety standards.
• Monitor and control scope, schedule, budget, and risk using industry best practices and performance indicators (SPI, CPI).
• Engage with industry leaders and participate in high-profile events.
• Develop high-impact marketing content that showcases PTAG’s expertise.
• Implement and enforce Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety standards across all phases.
• Serve as the primary interface between clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
• Lead regular project reporting and stakeholder updates, ensuring transparency, accountability, and issue resolution.
• Ensure adherence to permitting, regulatory, and interconnection requirements, including those related to DOE or utility funding.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (required).
• Familiarity with DOE-funded project requirements and reporting practices.
• Strong working knowledge of project controls, risk management, and earned value management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills with a results-oriented mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and other project management tools.
• PMP certification or P.Eng license preferred (or in progress).
• Experience managing Data Center construction or mission-critical facilities is highly valued.
• 5 plus years of proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects in Transmission, Substation, or Power Generation (Gas, Hydro, or Renewables).
