Delivering best-in-class solutions

Deliver the platforms products and services that keep our global operation secure

Providing innovation to government partners

Use all your IT delivery skills as you focus on keeping the UK safe from threat

When you join us as Senior Delivery Manager – Platforms you’ll focus on the development and implementation of our customers’ requirements. Your focus will be Compliance, Governance and Assurance leading on measuring and maintaining high quality platforms products and services. Managing and delivering services, tools, projects and portfolios that meet the relevant service level agreements, you’ll select the appropriate methods and tools, ensuring that effective project control, change control, risk management and testing processes are maintained. You’ll ensure that all products, tools, and services are being measured, governed and compliant with support and security.

The role will require you to oversee a team, manage development, appraisals and ensure KPI’s and SLAs are adhered to as per our contracted agreement with our customer base. There may be occasions where there is a responsibility to schedule work packages; we’ll expect you to make the best use of our organisation’s resources, manage and communicate each project’s status and KPIs, and ensure that all deliverables are completed within agreed parameters and signed off correctly. Candidates who are judged to be close to meeting the criteria may be considered for other positions in FCDO Services which may be at a lower grade, but have a potential skills match

Open to UK nationals only.

Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security needed is developed vetting (opens in a new window).

Every single colleague must be security cleared before joining us. If you’re successful in your application, we’ll ask you to undergo our vetting process to achieve Developed Vetting (DV) clearance. You can find out more about vetting at fcdoservicescareers.co.uk/how-to-apply/

To be a success in this vital role you should be qualified with Security certification such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA to ensure security is at the forefront compliance. Project management skills and qualifications are highly sought after with a minimum of Foundation/Prince2 or PMI Project Management Professional, and have well developed experience of Prince2, Agile and Digital Dev/Ops environments and methodologies. An understanding of Technology is required; Azure certification or Microsoft certification is required with our use of Cloud Technology. With a proven track record of successful achievement in the IT delivery industry, we’ll also look for hands-on knowledge of procurement, commercial management and supplier management, and a good understanding of service design across the whole life of delivery.

People working with government assets must complete baseline personnel security standard (opens in new window) checks.

It goes without saying that you should have substantial previous experience and understanding of working with technologies in a secure enterprise environment, and the ability to work with complex SIAM/SMI models, IT systems, infrastructure and networks applications would be desirable. In addition, ITIL Foundation Certifications would be a plus, as would experience of working in or with central government departments.
