The technician will promptly and professionally conduct HVAC/R service jobs, perform routine service activities, and prepare detailed service tickets on site. Responsibilities include identifying revenue opportunities, referring leads to the sales team, supporting the installation department, leading project repairs or replacements, and adhering to safety equipment usage. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and participate in an on‑call rotation is required, as is maintaining a clean, well‑maintained company vehicle and safe driving practices.
CES is seeking an HVAC/R Service Technician II with chiller experience to perform a variety of HVAC/R jobs for industrial and commercial customers. The role requires decisiveness, courtesy, dependability, initiative, and strong communication with all customer groups.
Candidates must have chiller experience, at least five years of successful commercial service experience with three different manufacturers, and a minimum of three years working with air‑cooled chillers, ice machines, chilled water units, building automation, rooftop units, split systems, VRF systems, and boilers.
A high school diploma or GED is required, along with graduation from a post‑secondary HVACR program of at least two years.
The successful applicant will work within industry accuracy standards, make decisions based on measurable criteria, and demonstrate strong oral and written communication and customer service skills. Proficiency in MS Office, knowledge of safety equipment, ability to travel to job sites, diagnose problems, meet schedules, work independently or collaboratively, maintain confidentiality, and provide project quotes are essential. The role also demands comfort working at heights.
Required certifications include an EPA certification and a valid Florida driver’s license, with the incumbent needing to be insurable by CES. OSHA 10 certification is preferred.
