Overview
Design and develop mechanical components for advanced humanoid robots
Key Responsibilities

Tasks
-Develop components for humanoid robots (e.g., frames, actuators, joints) using CAD software, applying GD&T standards (ASME Y14.5) to ensure precision and manufacturability. -Design robotic linkages and mechanisms with a focus on efficient motion and performance optimization. -Work with electrical engineers and software developers to integrate mechanical components into robotic systems. -Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals. -Lead the prototyping phase, utilizing tools like 3D printing and CNC machining to validate designs. -Collaboration with top‑tier engineers, researchers, and product experts in AI and robotics -Perform mechanical testing to verify design performance and durability. -Ensure designs meet safety standards, conducting risk assessments and applying necessary safety features. -Produce detailed technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and BOMs, adhering to GD&T principles. -Choose materials and manufacturing methods that balance strength, weight, and cost, ensuring feasibility and reliability.

What You Bring
-Familiarity with manufacturing methods like CNC machining, 3D printing, and injection molding. -Strong analytical skills to tackle complex engineering challenges. -Strong background in mechanical design, statics, dynamics, and material science. -Clear verbal and written communication for effective teamwork. -Understanding of safety standards (e.g., ISO 10218) and risk assessment. -Freedom to influence the product and own key initiatives -Skilled in CAD tools (SolidWorks), with the ability to apply GD&T (ASME Y14.5) to designs. -Hands-on experience building and testing prototypes.
