The primary role of the Sealer/Prepper is to prepare equipment for painting through sealing, masking, sanding and other applications. The position involves preparing surfaces, mixing paints, and applying primers and finishes.
The role requires operating sealing equipment or using filler to repair holes, dents and seams, filing, grinding and sanding repaired surfaces with hand and power tools, and masking and taping surfaces before painting. The employee must mix, blend and match paint colors, apply primers and repaint surfaces using brushes or spray guns, monitor parts usage, report material issues, and assist in ordering replacement equipment, parts and supplies.

A college, vocational or technical training background is an asset, as is previous experience with sheet metal or autobody preparation. The successful candidate can work independently, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, read and interpret blueprints (asset), lift more than 25 pounds, and distinguish colours.
Work is performed in a commercial/industrial environment that requires manual dexterity, long periods of standing, and adherence to safety policies including wearing protective equipment. Overtime may be required.
