The Mount Isa branch is seeking a local Warehouse Worker to deliver warehouse and distribution services to internal and external customers. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the role involves supporting day‑to‑day operations, following detailed instructions and working effectively within a team under routine supervision.
The position requires proactive liaison with management, suppliers and customers, handling receipt, picking, packing and dispatch of spare parts and materials, and conducting inventory control activities such as cycle counts and full stock takes. The employee will also prepare shipping documentation, enter data in Sandvik IT systems, investigate discrepancies, apply quality‑control procedures and maintain general warehouse housekeeping.
Candidates must have at least three years of warehouse or stores experience in a heavy‑mining or equipment manufacturing environment and hold a current forklift licence. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, comfort with new IT systems and the ability to drive OH&S policies are essential, as are strong communication, customer‑service and teamwork skills. Flexibility for shift work, high energy and a legal right to work in Australia are also required.
Sandvik offers highly competitive wages together with an area allowance, bonus opportunities, uniform and technology provision, and the option to increase superannuation contributions. Additional benefits include an employee benefits program with salary‑sacrifice options, a referral bonus up to $5,000, company‑funded paid parental leave, ongoing training, a wellness programme and endorsement as a Work180 employer for women.
