  • Learns from past events and takes initiative to engage relevant stakeholders to capitalize on learnings
  • Leads and manages responses to information security incidents in accordance with established processes and an overall incident response framework
  • Leads threat hunting initiatives corresponding to newly discovered threats or emerging issues, using these initiatives to build technical and tool-related competency outside of incident response activities
  • Participates in the development of information security–related runbooks to promote consistent incident handling and minimization of associated risks
  • Participates in a periodic on-call schedule to provide ad hoc incident response capability during weekends and holidays
  • Identifies opportunities to leverage automation to increase efficiency and improve ability to work at scale
  • Develops automation capabilities using available security automation, orchestration, and response (SOAR) tooling and custom scripts; implements automation while adhering to established processes and standards
  • Conducts post-incident reviews to enable improvement of defensive capabilities and assist in the transition from reactive to proactive security capabilities

  • Applies technical expertise in solving complex and dynamic problems related to information security incidents
  • Demonstrates leadership through successful navigation of information security incidents through applicable response phases and final resolution
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), including ability to distill incident reporting to convey key risks and decision points to leaders
  • Maintains composure and team morale while working through potentiallycomplex, long-running, and high-stress events
  • Five years of experience in cybersecurity, software development, networkengineering, or other information technology or process automation roles (ora combination of these roles)
  • Previous experience in incident reporting and/or technical writing
  • Ability to conduct problem solving, both individually and as a member of ateam of multi-discipline professionals
  • Technical depth in multiple technology-related subjects, including computernetworking, operating systems, software development, scripting, artificialintelligence, and machine learning
  • Year of experience 8 +
  • Strong process development skills and ability to responsibly deviate when processes are deemed insufficient to limit risk
  • Bachelor's degree in systems, Computer Science, Business or Information Management or equivalent experience
  • Strong technical skills and experience, and the desire to continue learning to adapt to ever-changing technology and threat landscapes
