Ledcor is a construction and resource development company delivering projects across North America.
The role involves winter and seasonal patrolling of Ontario provincial highways using snowplows, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment. Employees may work shift, on‑call, or night hours, and local applicants are preferred because of the work’s geographic location.
Core duties include monitoring road conditions and weather, reporting findings, recommending priority maintenance locations, and coordinating with operators and supervisors for shift changes. Additional tasks cover labour‑er responsibilities such as pothole repair, guardrail and bridge work, signage cleaning, and hazard remediation while upholding health, safety, and environmental standards.
Ledcor is seeking enthusiastic, team‑oriented individuals who want to be home at night and contribute to their community. The company offers year‑round or seasonal employment with stable schedules, industry‑leading wages, training, benefits, and opportunities for career growth. Ideal candidates have highway‑maintenance experience, strong communication skills, and an observant, safety‑focused mindset.
Applicants must hold a valid G licence; an AZ or DZ licence and a clean three‑year driver’s abstract are preferred. Required knowledge includes provincial and municipal highway‑maintenance specifications, and candidates should possess professional written and verbal communication skills. Experience operating snowplows and loaders and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word) are assets.
Compensation ranges from $18.73 to $26.75 per hour, determined by experience, skills, education, and location, and is complemented by a competitive total‑rewards package that supports physical, mental, and financial well‑being. Ledcor’s diverse infrastructure portfolio spans transportation, energy, mining, and more, and the company has been recognized for its inclusive culture and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
