- Ensuring preparation of contract documents, warranties, bonds and licenses and assist formal execution by the appropriate parties.
- Overseeing and engaging in the evaluation of claims for delay and additional costs made by the contractor and any nominated subcontractors/suppliers.
- Providing comprehensive technical expertise on administration of the terms of building contracts.
- Develops effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Managing & influencing key/senior stakeholders.
- Actively measuring and providing valuations of the work carried out and adjust variations in accordance with the terms of the contract to agree with contractor.
- Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
- Developing & maintaining a series of both internal and external relationships.
- Managing all costs associated with design changes, contract awards, construction activities and client charges.
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvement plans/identifies key business improvements.
- Manages relevant stakeholders for project/s.
- Providing expertise on the issuing of certificate of making good defects and final completion in accordance with any requirements relating to completion, submissions and approvals.
- Developing financial reports for the clients in the form and at the frequency required.
- Providing expertise on the issuing of certificates of practical completion and ensure that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.

- Sound knowledge and ability to undertake and advise on contract administration and contract management.
- Utilising expertise to ensure adequate cost control and reporting services during the contract.
- Knowledge of BIM techniques and applications. Negotiation skills.
- Problem solving and analytical skills for resolving cost and contract administration and procurement issues within consult.
- A degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent).
- Uses advanced communication skills to collaborate with others to guide others to achieve project key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Professional membership or working towards i.e. MRICS/RICS (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in commercial management.
- Sound understanding of costs and timescales of work undertaken and implications of risk of failure to deliver.
- Proven experience of different types of contracts.
- Analytical skills. Digitally Competent.
- Detailed knowledge in most forms of contract.
- Sound knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction.
- Proven experience in areas such as risk management and change control management.
- Relevant technical qualification/certification for project portfolio/s.
- Ability to be effective communicator with all stakeholders.
- Ability to seek opportunities for implementing improved working practices.
- Good interpersonal skills to prepare reports, negotiate and build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Knowledge of contractual frameworks relating to construction.
- Proficient knowledge and expertise in specific sector/ market of project/role.
- Demonstrable experience of delivering service excellence to clients.
