  • Apply ACCIONA’s risk management framework to assess and mitigate environmental risks.
  • Prepare accurate reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain Chain of Custody for environmental samples and ensure monitoring compliance.
  • Administer, implement, and maintain the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) to ensure compliance with legislation and ACCIONA systems.
  • Represent legislative requirements in control documents (e.g., work method statements, toolbox talks).
  • Conduct incident investigations, liaise with regulators, and integrate lessons learned into systems.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives and support ISC rating delivery (e.g., As-Built).
  • Promote a positive environmental culture and deliver training to project teams and senior leaders.
  • Lead continuous improvement in environmental performance and strategic outcomes.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including regulators, designers, engineers, and communities.
  • Identify and manage environmental approvals and provide guidance during planning and site operations.
  • Monitor and action mitigation measures from approval and obligation registers.
  • Develop and implement environmental monitoring regimes; analyse data and respond to exceedances.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and provide site-based environmental support.

  • 5+ years’ experience in environmental management—ideally within construction or infrastructure.
  • A collaborative and mentoring mindset, promoting environmental best practices.
  • A strong grasp of environmental legislation and compliance standards.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement Environmental Management Plans (EMPs).
  • Confidence in engaging with regulators, communities, and internal teams.
  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strategic thinking to drive sustainability and continuous improvement.
  • Practical experience in site audits, inspections, and managing environmental risks.
  • Analytical skills to interpret monitoring data and produce clear, actionable reports.
