We’re excited to offer this internal opportunity to support your continued growth and development within the business. Ventia is looking for a qualified Field Electrician to join our trades team in a dynamic FIFO role where you’ll be on site for two weeks at a time.
We are seeking a trade‑qualified electrician with oil and gas experience, ideally on drilling or workover rigs, and strong knowledge of PLC and control systems. The candidate should be skilled in fault‑finding and troubleshooting under pressure, competent with computer‑based maintenance tracking, hold a valid Open Manual Driver’s Licence, and possess a Certificate IV in Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA). Experience with motors, VFD drives, and power generating systems is also required.
The position offers a FIFO roster of 15 days on and 13 days off, providing a balanced lifestyle on remote Barrow Island. You will receive a competitive flat day rate of $856.80, accommodation, uniforms, and meals, along with paid training sessions and long‑term contract stability.
