Set up equipment and weld parts, using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment.

Observes SIC/Client Safety processes and procedures at all times.
As required, perform safety inspections of work area, equipment and tools, in accordance with SIC policy to ensure compliance with government regulations, customer requirements, and SIC’s safety program. Resolve all discrepancies found through inspections.
Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC.
Lay out, position, align, and fit components together.
Rate information using standards that can be measured or checked.
Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts, using cutting torch, straightening press, and hand tools.
Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding, applying knowledge of physical properties of metal machining weld shrinkage, and welding techniques.
Assemble parts by bolting and riveting.
May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
Detect, recognize, and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding.

Regular attendance is required.
