The Regulatory Coordinator supports the Regulatory team by coordinating key regulatory activities and liaising with external safety agencies. The role involves planning and assisting with safety assessments, audits and investigations to ensure KiwiRail meets its regulatory obligations and maintains the highest safety standards.
The ideal candidate is an organised, proactive professional with a sound knowledge of regulatory practice and audit regimes, experience managing multiple workstreams, and familiarity with safety reporting to government or regulatory bodies. Strong administrative abilities, excellent communication, attention to detail and a collaborative, safety‑focused mindset are essential, as is a tertiary qualification in administration, business or a related field or equivalent experience.
