• Conduct end‑user and secondary research to inform design strategy.
• Produce client deliverables, including programming and design standards.
• Assist in planning and performing user research and data collection activities.
• Prepare and facilitate workshops and presentations.
• Synthesize research findings into actionable design implications.
• Create diagrams, data visualizations, journey maps, and behavior profiles.
• Develop space programming, storyboards, and communication materials.
• Draft design concept diagrams and support web tool development.

Requirements

Applicants must be enrolled in an Architecture, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Business, Real Estate, Information Design, Strategic Design or Transdisciplinary Design program, having completed at least their third undergraduate year or first graduate year, and must plan to return to school after the internship. Strong strategic, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills are required, along with proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office; Revit experience is a plus. The position offers a salary of $26‑$28.50 per hour and follows Gensler’s equal‑opportunity employment policies.
