Tooling Specialist

Description

• Inspect inductors and impeders for damage and replace as necessary.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
• Perform daily lift truck inspections and report issues promptly.
• Check bearings for defects and replace as needed.
• Ensure rolls and tooling components are stored properly.
• Grease and lubricate roll trains prior to delivery to the mill.
• Maintain accurate root diameter information for roll trains.
• Inspect tooling for damage or wear to ensure reliable mill performance.
• Follow rolling schedules and coordinator instructions to prepare production tooling for upcoming size changes.
• Inspect and wash rolls, spacers, chock assemblies, and shafts after removal from the mill.

Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to reach with hands and arms and handle tools and equipment.
• Visual acuity required to read and record numerical data.
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment; technical/college degree preferred (military equivalent accepted).
• Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Tube mill manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with strong attention to detail.
• Regular full-time onsite attendance required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to read measuring devices and equipment.
• Ability to climb, bend, stoop, push, and pull.
