  • Shop drawing review and design services during construction.
  • Preparation of quantity calculations.
  • Coordination with other in-house engineering disciplines as needed.
  • Preparation of construction drawings which include – plans, structural sections, and details.
  • Load rating of existing bridges.
  • Preparation of reports and technical specifications.
  • Preparation and checking of design calculations for bridges and other transportation related structures.
  • Preparation of construction cost estimates.
  • Visual survey and structural observations of existing bridge structures for rehabilitations/repair projects.
  • Use computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
  • Collection and analysis of data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

  • Master's Degree in Civil Engineer with an emphasis in structural engineering
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel
  • The preferred candidate would be detailed oriented and have strong skills in structural analysis, steel and concrete design; and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering or related field
  • Proficiency with Microstation, OpenBridge, AutoCAD, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D and similar computer software
  • This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in our Massachusetts office. The selected candidate must be available to work in the Massachusetts office on a scheduled basis.
  • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
  • Familiarity with AASHTO codes and Bridge Engineering practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good time management skills, a strong work ethic, and a willing desire to learn.
