Quality Control Inspector CWI

Description

• Interpret weld map isometric drawings.
• Enter welding and inspection data into tracking systems.
• Assist with pressure testing plans and execution.
• Review, file, and coordinate NDE/NDT reports.
• Collaborate with NDE personnel for planning and execution.
• Assemble and review project documentation packages.
• Perform and document inspections per drawings, specifications, and procedures.
• Conduct weld inspections and verify compliance with welding requirements.
• Develop and implement Project Quality Assurance Plans.
• Provide support and training to other inspectors.
• Write inspection and assessment plans (I&TPs).

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced, initiative‑taking Quality Control Inspector to join our expanding Industrial Construction team. The role involves close collaboration with engineering, construction, fabrication and other departments to ensure aligned goals are met, and it requires travel to remote jobs throughout the intermountain region and beyond. A team‑oriented mentality and a drive to continuously improve are essential to succeed in this position.

• Hold a current AWS CWI or ASNT VT II certification (or ability to pass VT II exam).
• Knowledge of NDT methods (UT, MT, PT, RT) with documented training/hands‑on hours.
• Familiarity with ASTM standards and materials.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities and ability to read technical drawings.
• Quick learner, motivated, team‑oriented and initiative‑taking.
• Ability to travel, relocate, and work in challenging environments (stairs, ladders, scaffolds, trenches, uneven terrain).
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lb, standing and walking for extended periods, and using respirators when required.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurability; subject to DMV background check.
