Manage the interface between site teams, protection engineers, and client representatives
Ensure all works comply with SSEN and the client's commissioning procedures
Lead all 400kV commissioning and testing works on site
Support planning for final busbar protection integration in 2027
Oversee the safe delivery of pre-commissioning and integration stages
Review and sign-off commissioning documentation, test sheets, and reports

SCS/RTSD utilising IEC 61850 communication standard
Extension of the current switchboard arrangement by 3 additional bays - 2 bays on the main and reserve bar 1 & 1 bay on the main and reserve bar 2
Proven experience as a Lead Commissioning Engineer on 400kV substations
Strong understanding of busbar protection and IEC 61850 systems
SSEN authorisation (or previous authorisation preferred)
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Right to work as a contractor in the UK
Ability to manage multiple commissioning phases over a long-term project
All 3 bays to be fully populated with control and protection equipment
