IMOS Designer

Description

• Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for design and conversion tasks.
• Ensure the following factors are considered before drawing preparation:
• Customize modular furniture systems based on client specifications and site measurements.
• Coordinate with the Project Coordinator for revisions as per Client/Dealer requirements.
• Assist in creating the Bill of Materials (BoM), nesting plans, and production/shop drawings.
• Generate cutting lists, drilling plans, and hardware configurations for CNC operations.
• Maintain and update design libraries, standard templates, and material databases.
• Revise and update designs based on feedback, technical feasibility, or site constraints.
• Collaborate with sales, production, and installation teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
• Create 3D models and detailed technical drawings using IMOS CAD software.
• Prepare, review, and upload drawings into ERP systems.
• Export machine-ready files for CNC programming, edge banding, and other processes.
• Maintain detailed records of design and conversion activities.
• Proactively address and resolve inter-departmental issues that impact design efficiency.
• Maintain detailed revision logs and change records.
• Track recurring mistakes and initiate corrective actions to reduce errors.
• Submit final conversion drawings to the production/planning team as per SOP.
• Analyze data to identify recurring errors, trends, and areas for improvement.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on departmental performance and productivity.

Requirements

• Attention to detail and analytical problem-solving ability.
• Strong knowledge of modular furniture systems and construction techniques.
• Color shade for fabric, wood finishes, and designs.
• Diploma / Degree in Interior Design, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in IMOS CAD and ERP software (mandatory).
• Excellent coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects.
