Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with VDOT, Virginia municipalities, and other transportation agencies.
Oversee the technical quality, budget, and schedule performance of roadway projects.
Manage multidisciplinary teams, including roadway, drainage, traffic, and structural engineers.
Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and a positive team environment.
Lead proposal development, interview preparation, and project scoping for roadway and highway pursuits.
Support implementation of new design technologies and BIM/CADD workflows (MicroStation, OpenRoads, Civil 3D, etc.).
Provide direction on roadway design elements including alignments, cross sections, grading, drainage coordination, and traffic control.
Lead the design, and delivery of transportation projects for public and private clients.
Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers and project managers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and strategic partners.
Collaborate with marketing and leadership teams to set annual sales and revenue goals.
Ensure compliance with applicable design standards (AASHTO, FHWA, state DOT manuals, MUTCD, ADA, etc.).

Proven experience in project management roles within the technical practice.
Bachelor’s Degree in related field (AEC Industry) and minimum of 7 years of related professional experience, or 11 years of equivalent
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage budgets, project margins, and cash flow.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to the service line.
Progressive professional and increasing project management and organizational management experience.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions.
Professional license or certification within the field of expertise preferred.
Demonstrated leadership capability to build and lead teams of technical practitioners and/or project managers.
Proficiency in relevant software and tools use in the practice area.
Adaptability and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in business development, with a focus on maximizing client relationships and identifying growth opportunities.
Ability to complete the KCI PM Training and Contract Training within six months of start date.
