Environmental Project Manager

Description

• Preparing budgets, schedules, invoices, and project deliverables.
• Leading and mentoring staff to foster professional growth.
• Supporting environmental sampling, monitoring, and construction quality assurance activities as needed.
• Coordinating work with clients, regulators, contractors, and team members.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Collaborating with regulators to ensure project compliance with all applicable regulations.
• Providing mentorship and distributing tasks to team members, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Reviewing and approving work completed by team members.
• Communicating project updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Managing projects in the waste management and waste diversion industries.
• Preparing and reviewing calculations, reports, and design documents for engineering projects, including landfill design, permitting, and environmental compliance.
• You will oversee and guide projects with support from senior team members, collaborating with clients, regulators, and internal staff to deliver high-quality work. You will transition into managing the entire project lifecycle, from scoping and budgeting to work distribution, invoicing, and project close-out.
• Conducting quality control reviews of work products, including reports, design plans, and data analysis.
• Assisting with the development of waste diversion strategies and sustainable materials management.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of engineering required. Civil, Environmental, Geological, or Geotechnical Engineering required.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform fieldwork as needed.
• Experience: 8+ years in engineering or environmental consulting, with a focus on waste diversion, landfill design, permitting, or sustainable materials management. Project management experience is preferred but not required.
• Licensing: Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Licensure: P.E. registration or ability to obtain within one year is highly preferred.
