Senior Interior Designer

Description

• Prepares floor plans and elevations, ensuring conformance to design guidelines and brand strategy.
• Ensures design intent is upheld and all details are coordinated.
• Contributes to the firm’s business development efforts by promoting the firm with existing and future clients and contacts.
• Performs additional tasks as needed to support supervisor.
• Provides design support, solutions and manages team through the completion of projects.
• Creates effective budgets, proposals and handles negotiations with clients.
• Maintains and monitors project profitability, both in hours and product procurement.
• Prepares sketches, perspective views, elevations and details as necessary in support of the design solution to facilitate presentation.
• Coordinates work with contractors and Project Manager to maintain project timeline and budget compliance.
• Establishes long-lasting relationships with clients, vendors, and consultants.
• Reviews and delivers accurate document packages to contractors, vendors, and clients according to the project timeline.
• Manages the development, creation, and pitch of client presentations with minimal Director oversight.
• Attends various client, vendor, software, company training, tradeshows, and meetings.

Requirements

• Proficient in Revit or CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office Suite.
• Works traditional hours but able to flex to weekends and nights during peak times.

• 5-7 years of experience in luxury residential and/or hospitality.
• Able to lift 50lbs, stand for long periods, and willing to travel internationally.
• Applies understanding of a direct link between design choices and build-out costs while maintaining accountability to the budget.
• Professional and Team Player: You effectively communicate with clients, vendors, and coworkers. Able to self-manage and demonstrate a high level of professional maturity when faced with challenging situations. You create a cooperative team atmosphere, listen to and value the opinions of others, help the team meet goals, support coworkers, and create a welcoming environment where creativity can flourish.
• Skilled Communicator: You communicate effectively with colleagues, vendors and clients through strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. You read the subtleties and adapt messaging according to the audience.
• Knowledge of LEED or Well Building Standards preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of codes affecting design and documentation.
• Presents to clients and firm leadership with complete confidence and knowledge of project scope and direction.
• 4-year degree in Interior Design and NCIDQ license desired.
• Design Sensibility: You have a keen eye for color and detail and demonstrates a strong knowledge of a diverse range of styles, aesthetics, techniques, and color theory.
• Leader: You develop a compelling vision to attract and develop talent and understand the viewpoint of the firm's leadership. You effectively analyzes complex problems and are quick to adapt and react to new business knowledge.
