The Community Ambassador serves as the primary point of contact for prospective and current residents, working to maximize occupancy each year. Reporting to the Community Manager, this role involves guiding residents through the leasing process, supporting marketing initiatives, and meeting sales targets set by management. Strong communication, time‑management, and deadline‑orientation are essential.
The ambassador’s duties span leasing, marketing, and resident experience. They must understand the housing contract and related addendums, clearly communicate terms to prospects, residents, and guarantors, and close sales according to LEASE Training guidelines. Responsibilities include generating new leads, completing guest cards, scheduling and conducting tours, and following up with leads.
Marketing responsibilities involve promoting the community through social media platforms, participating in on‑ and off‑campus events, and assisting with email and text campaigns in Entrata and TextUs. The ambassador represents Landmark Properties professionally, maintains a positive community environment, encourages participation in Residence Life activities, and escalates resident concerns to the appropriate manager.
Property operations tasks include daily opening and closing checklists, model and tour route inspections, and performing housekeeping as needed. The ambassador responds to internet and telephone inquiries promptly, enters maintenance requests, logs activity in prospect and resident accounts, labels and tracks packages, and enforces community policies in accordance with the housing contract and Fair Housing regulations.
Turn‑related activities such as move‑in and move‑out days, unit inspections, and trash‑outs are also part of the role. Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications. Preference is given to those with strong organizational skills, reliability, self‑discipline, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
The position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, summer periods, and resident lockout situations, as well as compliance with corporate procedures and government Fair Housing laws. The work environment is moderate‑noise, with no travel required, and physical demands include frequent standing, walking, lifting, and the ability to perform tasks that involve climbing, stooping, and reaching.
