Ensure coverage of job duties within the department during Team Member absences, either through delegation or personal completion of duties.
Act as a resource/care manager for CFL residents and their families

Ensure implementation of all CFL signature programming
Maintain inventory of supplies necessary for resident care and for resident enrichment programs including family support resources.
Ensure building maintenance systems are upheld
Work closely with all departments in the community to ensure memory care residents are receiving all available services to enhance their quality of life
Oversee implementation of CFL dining program
Monitor employee hours to minimize overtime and ensure adequate coverage.
Promote and lead with a spirit of teamwork and open communication in accordance with the MBK principles and core values
Assist with potential memory care resident assessment program in accordance with current rules, regulations, and community policies and procedures.
Assist with internal community enrichment and referral events
Ensure all CFL team members compete all MBK and State required training
Ensure the financial goals are met monthly
Assist Executive Director in completing an annual budget.
Ensure completion of meal census checks, behavior monitoring, elopement drills, daily observation sheets, alert charting, TELS work orders and other reporting systems.
Work with MBK and outside resources to develop and continue a productive Support Group to be offered as a resource to the family members of our residents
Calendar is made and followed monthly to ensure that our memory care residents are engaged in meaningful activities daily
Coordinate departmental schedule to ensure adequate staffing in accordance with legal requirements, community standards, policies, procedures, and budgets.
Oversee onboarding and conduct orientation for new Team Members
Train whole community in CFL elopement policy and procedure and direct elopement drills as required by MBK policy.
Oversee implementation of all MBK wellness programs including volunteers, peer social engagement, intergenerational, exercise, music, life skill, 1:1, purpose-driven and all other signature CFL programming.
Interview potential CFL team members
Understand and comply with all Federal, State, and local regulations, and all company policies and procedures concerning the department
Direct and execute updates to Traditions data as needed to keep needs documentation current.
Ensure on-going training and education for all Team Members, in accordance with all governing requirements, and community policies and procedures to ensure that staff is properly trained in.
Conduct interviews and observations of the memory care residents on a continual basis.
Ensure that all governing requirements are closely monitored and executed
Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests following established safety standards, policies and procedures
Oversee strict compliance with MBK safety policy including CFL chemical and secured environment measures

Excellent communication skills are required, including the ability to speak, write and read English
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully and professionally at all times with personnel, residents, family members, and guests
Display tact and friendliness when dealing with residents, Team Members and guests
Must have basic math skills (addition, subtraction and multiplication) as required for personnel actions, budget and other financial responsibilities
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action, and to remain calm during stressful or emergency situations
Must have solid pc skills and be familiar with several Microsoft Office Suite software programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, Email, etc.), and other office equipment (e.g. scanners, copiers, and fax machines)
Ability to lift/carry up to 40+ pounds and push 150 pounds to assist with the moving of residents
AA or Certificate in gerontology, social services, business administration or similar At least 20 hours of continued education in aging and dementia care
Current First Aid Certification is required
Compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding resident rights
Certified dementia practitioner or other similar certification highly desirable
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day and throughout the community
Bending, kneeling, squatting, sitting and reaching
Basic knowledge of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia
Must complete a health screening and provide negative TB test results (must be within the last 6 months or within 7 days of employment)
Prior experience working with persons with dementia is required
Must complete Background clearances (as required by government regulations)
Possess the ability and desire to minimize waste and misuse of supplies/equipment
Ability to lead and coordinate care across disciplines (activities, dining services, etc.)
Prior management or supervisory experience is required
Prior related work experience functioning in a similar memory care management role, within a similar industry/work environment is essential
Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, social services, gerontology, social work, nursing or recreational therapy highly desirable
