Tasks

-Coordinates and supports the administration of employee benefit programs including enrollments, terminations, billing, and employee communications. -Runs reports to support HR functions and assist the team with data-driven tasks. -Conducts small group training on workers’ compensation processes and employee benefits. -Anticipate next steps and proactively take the lead to keep projects moving. -Performs regular audits of I-9 forms to ensure compliance with federal requirements and prepares for potential audits. -Conducts reviews of system data and documents to meet the business needs of the department. -Assists in planning and organizing company events, training sessions, and team-building activities and helps manage event logistics. -Assists employees with accessing and understanding company resources. -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and use a keyboard. -Provides support and backup across all HR functions, including onboarding, employee relations, payroll, and offboarding. -Responds to staff inquiries related to HR, particularly regarding workers’ compensation and benefits, with clear and timely communication. -Manages workers’ compensation claims including intake, follow-up, and coordination with third-party administrators.

What You Bring

-Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. -Strong initiative and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with robust follow-through. -Superior organizational skills to effectively handle various tasks and responsibilities. -Advanced Excel skills and experience using HR Information Systems (HRIS) strongly preferred -Work is performed primarily in an office environment under pressure and requires the ability to quickly adjust to changing priorities and demands. -High level of attention to detail and accuracy in task execution. -Advanced writing, grammar, and verbal communication to ensure clarity and effectiveness in all communications. -Prioritize and organize tasks and information quickly and efficiently, capable of multitasking. -Strong diplomatic acumen for managing diverse interactions. -At least two years of experience in benefits administration with a solid understanding of workers’ compensation programs -Work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment, adapting to changing priorities, and collaborating with multiple people on projects at one time. -Minimum of three years of experience in a Human Resources role -Lift up to ten pounds -Associate degree required
