- Installing manholes, chambers, and other drainage structures.
- Backfilling, compacting, and reinstating works to required standards.
- Excavating and preparing trenches safely and accurately.
- Setting out pipe runs from drawings and specifications.
- Laying pipes for foul water, stormwater, and utilities to line and level.
- Ensuring correct use of trench boxes and shoring systems.
- Working around live services and applying safe digging techniques.
- Following health and safety protocols at all times.
- Reading and interpreting site drawings and levels.

- 5+ years’ experience in groundwork and pipelaying.
- Streetworks (NRSWA) accreditation.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Skilled in using trench support systems (trench boxes, drag boxes, sheets).
- Machine operator experience/tickets.
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual labour.
- Valid CSCS Card
- Confined Space Training.
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings and levels.
- Please note that to comply with client requirements, we can only accept NPORS cards affiliated with CSCS and carrying the CSCS hologram. We no longer accept traditional NPORS cards. - CPCS/NPORS accreditation.
- Strong understanding of health & safety requirements on site.
- Proven experience as a pipelayer within groundworks/civil engineering.
