Lab Technician

Description

Egis is hiring a Lab Technician for its Kuwait facility within the Energy and Sustainable Cities line. The permanent role involves overseeing laboratory operations, ensuring safety compliance, and leading a team of technicians to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency. The position reports to the site supervision family and works closely with other departments to support sustainable engineering projects.

• Supervise daily activities of laboratory technicians.
• Enforce safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of lab equipment.
• Implement quality control procedures.
• Analyze data and prepare management reports.
• Collaborate across departments to improve lab processes.
• Train and mentor junior laboratory staff.
• Manage inventory and coordinate procurement of supplies and equipment.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and apply solutions.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advances.
• Operate and maintain diverse laboratory equipment proficiently.
• Apply strong quality control and data analysis expertise.
• Follow laboratory best practices and industry standards.

Requirements

• Hold a diploma in Chemistry, Biology or a related field.
• Possess at least 10 years of lab technician experience, including supervisory roles.
• Demonstrate excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Communicate effectively in written and verbal forms.
• Understand OSHA and other safety regulatory requirements.
• Multitask and prioritize in fast‑paced environments.
• Use LIMS and Microsoft Office suite proficiently.
