- Review construction materials and methods used during construction processes, including making relevant interpretation of specifications, drawings and plans
- Resolving problems
- Actively and constantly identify risk and improvement opportunities in relation to area of control and the wider project
- Plans the overall construction and operation large scale civil engineering projects by maintaining a project schedule which monitors project progress
- Identify milestones, critical path tasks and long lead time tasks and reports against these (including estimating costs, preparing cost plans and estimates)
- Review site monthly status reports and ensures that Construction Programmes satisfy the requirements of Tender
- Monitor the financial performance of all elements of the program and progress.
- Conduct risk assessments on costing schedules to identify potential delays of disputes

- Presented problem solving / analytical skills
- Demonstrable understanding of design engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning methodologies
- 3 years' planning and/or project management experience in a construction/engineering environment
