Description

The General Superintendent oversees all field operations across multiple projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the company's quality standards. This role provides leadership to project superintendents, coordinates with project managers, and serves as the primary authority on site logistics, field staffing, construction methods, and safety compliance.

Enforce company safety policies and procedures on all job sites.
Provide overall supervision and direction to all project superintendents and field personnel.
Maintain strong working relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Approve timesheets, equipment use, and change order recommendations.
Lead pre-construction planning and develop site logistics plans.
Implement quality control processes and coordinate with QA/QC teams when applicable.
Collaborate with project management teams on scheduling, manpower planning, material procurement, and project phasing.
Ensure projects follow company standards, plans, specifications, and industry best practices.
Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor progress, safety, quality, and productivity.
Monitor labor productivity and jobsite efficiency.
Ensure high-quality workmanship through regular inspections and superintendent coaching.
Participate in hiring decisions and workforce planning.
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
Resolve complex field issues and provide technical guidance on construction methods and sequencing.
Mentor, evaluate, and develop field staff, including superintendents, foremen, and craft personnel.
Assist project teams in tracking field-related costs and managing subcontractor performance.
Review incident reports and lead corrective action planning.
Identify potential schedule risks and implement corrective actions proactively.
Participate in project meetings and provide accurate progress updates.
Provide ongoing training and performance feedback.
