File and track workers’ compensation claims and employee work restrictions.
Review payroll reports for accuracy, manage deductions, and process vacation or time-off requests.
Support a positive workplace culture by addressing employee concerns, facilitating conflict resolution, and improving engagement.
Facilitate smooth onboarding and orientation for new hires, ensuring all documentation and compliance requirements are met.
Coordinate interview schedules and maintain consistent candidate communication throughout the hiring process.
Manage OSHA reporting, coordinate with carriers and counsel, and support claim-related litigation.
Respond to and prepare verification of employment or income letters in a timely manner.
Send offer communications and coordinate background checks, equipment setup, and first-day schedules.
File and monitor EDD forms and ensure compliance with state and federal leave laws (FMLA, CFRA, PDL).
Insurance Support - Assist with driver additions, vehicle registrations, and accident reporting to ensure accurate insurance records.
Serve as a backup for payroll processing.
Prevailing wage - submit DAS 140/142 forms, arrange apprentice participation, and manage fringe benefit contribution submissions.
Stay current with federal and state employment law updates and recommend policy adjustments as needed.
Provide employees with required leave documentation and track leave status and return-to-work dates.
Ensure company compliance with all applicable labor and employment laws, including ACA, EEOC, OSHA, and Workers’ Compensation requirements.
Oversee company Safety Program.
Conduct thorough and objective workplace investigations, ensuring appropriate documentation and follow-up with management.
Source, screen, and interview qualified candidates across multiple departments.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
Experience with payroll and HRIS systems.
Strong communication and follow-through
Strong understanding of California and federal employment laws.
