Tasks

This position at EnviroScience is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategies that enhance the environmental, social, and operational sustainability and resilience of key clients. This role works cross-functionally to embed sustainable practices into client operations, supply chains, infrastructure, and corporate governance, ensuring long-term environmental stewardship and organizational adaptability in the face of climate and economic risks. Works with Outside Company: Consultants, Regulatory & Government Agencies, Clients -Conduct environmental audits and assessments. -Stay updated on the latest sustainability trends and technologies. -Analyze data to identify key areas of improvement in energy use, waste management, and resource conservation. -Assess client operations to identify sustainability opportunities. -Prepare sustainability reports and documentation for regulatory submissions. -Ensure client compliance with environmental regulations and standards. -Collaborate with clients to understand their sustainability goals and challenges. -Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce environmental impact. -Provide expert advice on sustainability best practices. -Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance sustainability practices. -Lead sustainability projects from inception to completion. -Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project goals are met. -Track and report on the progress of sustainability initiatives. -Develop and recommend tailored sustainability strategies. -Prepare detailed reports outlining environmental impact and sustainability performance. -Monitor progress and make adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes. -Create actionable plans to reduce environmental impact and improve resource efficiency. -Communication with others to exchange information.

What You Bring

This candidate is expected to come into the Stow office and project sites with 65 miles of office daily to assist staff and project workload. Remote work and working from home will occur as needed and with pre-approval from their manager. Standard office equipment and office space will be provided. For any allowable remote work, uninterrupted home-based internet is a must to attend and host video calls, along with a minimum bandwidth speed of 20 Mbps. We enjoy and value collaboration as a team and expect excellent communication skills from the candidate. Teamwork is anticipated through face-to-face collaboration with staff but will also need to occur through many phone and electronic conversions. Work will consist of office time to collaborate with other managers and staff. Travel Requirements: Candidate should be able to periodically assist with field assignments when needed. Occasional overnight travel may be necessary on a project-specific basis. -Education: B.S. in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field. -Project management experience with the ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives. -8+ years of experience in sustainability, climate resilience, or environmental management. -Walking for periods of time, including maneuvering uneven, uphill, and downhill terrain, project-specific. -Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and mentoring teams. -Experience in the preparation of project specifications and bid documents is a plus. -Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 lbs. -Ability to develop innovative approaches and methodologies in environmental projects. -Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. -Expertise in developing and managing sustainability projects -Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in sustainability, climate resilience, or environmental management, with a track record of leading successful projects. -Familiarity with data analysis tools and sustainability reporting software is a plus. -Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. -Expertise working with or within environmental regulatory agencies. -Excellent communication, analytical, and strategic thinking skills. -Working outdoors in all kinds of weather as necessary for project(s).
