Warehouse Associate

Description

Customers rely on same‑ or next‑day delivery of more than 30,000 products from top industry brands, shipped directly to job sites with no minimum order requirement, and the company focuses on building long‑term, meaningful relationships with customers, suppliers, and associates.

The Warehouse Associate reports to the Operations Manager and is tasked with keeping merchandise organized and ready for shipment to customers and branch locations, receiving incoming items, conducting inventory counts, and verifying contents against packing slips.

• Receive and inspect incoming merchandise to verify against packing slips.
• Report any wear, defects, or damage to supervisor or vendor.
• Sort, organize, and label merchandise with appropriate stock/inventory codes.
• Perform scheduled cycle counts of products.
• Load trucks with packed orders in the specified sequence.
• Read pick tickets, prioritize critical orders, and verify picked items match tickets.
• Pack and unpack items for shelving according to procedures.
• Pull, package, and stage outbound orders.
• Prepare outbound UPS deliveries to ensure reliable shipping.
• Move completed orders to appropriate shipment locations.
• Operate forklift to load/unload trucks and place merchandise on shelves.
• Keep the warehouse orderly, organized, and clean during and after shifts.
• Occasionally move company vehicles and motorized equipment.
• Communicate issues to supervisor for resolution.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years experience in a warehouse or distribution center.
• Proficient with FACTS, Outlook, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple responsibilities.
• Basic math and analytical skills; ability to navigate websites and interpret documents.
• Competent in operating power tools safely.
• Strong time management, negotiation, critical‑thinking, decision‑making, organizational, and detail‑orientation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and strong customer‑service orientation.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb, move throughout the warehouse, enter/exit vehicles, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel, and work in confined spaces and varying climates.
• Certified forklift operator and able to use motorized pallet jack, RF scanners, and other warehouse equipment.
