Project Coordinator

Description

Element seeks a Project Coordinator for its Fairfield, OH location. The role serves as the initial point of contact for global customers reaching Element through the sales inquiry website or phone lines, creating a world‑class first impression and supporting the sales process.

In this position you will field incoming calls and emails, qualify prospects with sales‑oriented questions, collect technical specifications, and direct leads to the laboratory or business unit best suited to meet the customer’s needs. You will also perform daily follow‑up communications, keep detailed records in Dynamics CRM, and collaborate with sales, business unit leaders, and the Tactical Marketing Manager to ensure consistent, high‑quality customer service.

• Communicate Element value proposition via phone and email to callers and web inquiries.
• Ask inquisitive technical questions to gather detailed customer requirements.
• Assign requests promptly to appropriate laboratories and business units.
• Conduct daily customer follow‑up calls and emails.
• Record activities in Dynamics CRM, ensuring accurate contacts and call logs.
• Maintain relationships with the sales team and business unit heads.
• Keep current knowledge of Element’s service offerings.
• Document customer concerns, delegate to quality manager, and ensure resolution.
• Route customer questions/issues and follow up for satisfaction.
• Support Tactical Marketing Manager with various customer support tasks.

Requirements

The ideal candidate brings 1–3 years of sales, marketing, or customer‑service experience, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interpret contracts, quotes, and testing specifications. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, basic quantitative abilities, a valid driver’s license, and the capacity to remain calm under pressure are also required.

• 1‑3 years of sales, marketing, or customer service experience (or equivalent education).
• Ability to read and interpret contracts, quotes, marketing materials, and testing specifications.
• Strong written and oral communication, including report writing and presentations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Capability to calculate discounts, commissions, and apply basic algebra/geometry.
• Problem‑solving skills for practical customer issues.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable record per Element policy.
• Experience interpreting testing procedures and requirements.
• Calm under pressure with multiple deadlines.
• Good interpersonal skills fostering respectful communication.
• Ability to interface with clients, win new work, and develop proposals with cost estimates.

Benefits

Compensation is offered at $20–$25 per hour, dependent on experience.
