Providing specialized engineering and consulting services across diverse industries.
Execute design projects for complex power systems and provide technical/sales support.
Supports immediate supervisor on planning and organizing workload to ensure the most effective return on assets.
Assesses project specific resource needs and coordinates assignments with project manager.
Effectively communicates with other departments to assure activities are properly coordinated.
Leads interaction with other functions and locations to determine optimum solutions.
Works with CAD staff to develop and/or update client electrical drawings including one lines, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Specification development for medium and low voltage electrical equipment.
Coordinates proper project hand-off between sales and operations/engineering.
Act as a representative of Qualus to support sales in customer site walks.
Participates in project kickoff meetings to discuss work scope, project specifications, budgets, schedules, and safety requirements with project team.
Adheres to all company, industry and client safety protocols and standards.
Reviews field data and performs coordination, short circuit, and arc flash studies.
Review power monitoring data to provide customer recommendations.
Ensures timely and accurate invoicing for all engineering projects by providing all paperwork in a like manner; these include Service Acknowledgement Forms (SAFs), weekly time keeping, documentation of change orders, test reports, and other documents as required by the project deliverables.
Consults and coordinates as necessary to utilize suppliers with the capabilities to meet material and equipment needs.
Remains current on all safety and technical training.

Experience developing relay protective setpoints and settings files.
Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively discuss technical recommendations with customers.
5+ years of design engineering experience on primary power distribution, P&C schemes, and/or electrical equipment.
2-5 years using power systems modeling software such as ETAP, SKM, and/or EasyPower.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related from an ABET accredited institution, preferred with a focus on power systems.
Professional Engineering (P.E.) License preferred.
Working knowledge of NEC/NFPA 70, ANSI C57, ANSI C37, and NESC, and other applicable codes and standards in the design of substations and industrial power distribution.
Medium and low voltage electrical design consisting of, but not limited to: Outdoor substations, unit substations, power transformers, protection and control schemes, power monitoring, circuit breaker replacements, relay replacements, brownfield and greenfield EPC projects.
Ability to work independently, accurately, and with a high attention to detail.
