Selection and sizing of standby power supply including Diesel and Gas generators.
Creating Control Schematics for motor starters, including Direct-on-line starters, variable frequency drives or soft starters.
Perform site visits for electrical data gathering condition assessment and field inspections.
Works closely with project managers and other disciplines to plan and prepare construction drawings and provide support as necessary.
Supervise CAD operators for preparation of design drawings (plans, sections and details using Revit and/or AutoCAD).
Lighting system design, including fixtures, controls, lighting transformers and lighting panels.
Design of industrial power distribution systems (44kV to 120V), including load analysis, Hydro supply sizing, substation design, underground duct banks.
Conducting Power System Studies, Power Quality Studies.
Design of Switchgear, Switchboard, Motor Control Centers, and distribution panels.

4-8 years of Electrical design engineering experience in an engineering, construction, or architectural firm. Design experience for water and wastewater treatment for municipal facilities will be considered an asset.
Must hold a valid P.Eng. designation with the ability to practice in the province of Ontario; or the ability to obtain a P.Eng. License within the next 12 months.
Experience with ETAP software will be considered an asset.
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Proven capabilities in writing reports and other technical documents.
Superior English communication skills, both oral and written.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative, high paced, team environment.
