  • Clearly communicate job expectations, including planning and oversight, to production floor leads, leads, team leads, and team members.
  • Assist in managing personnel matters on the production floor, including HR-related issues.
  • Work with Second Shift Leaders to ensure efficient turnover and continuation of work in progress.
  • Provide technical guidance and support, addressing queries from the production team.
  • Participate in recruitment, termination, and disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Contribute to the development, enhancement, and adherence of policies and procedures aimed at optimizing production efficiency and product quality.
  • Coordinate and prepare employee work schedules, ensuring optimal organization and efficiency.
  • Assume responsibility for maintaining high-quality standards across all production processes.
  • Develop and implement daily production targets, assignments, and sequences in alignment with production objectives outlined by the Operations Manager.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and industry regulations.
  • Arrange project workflow stages to maximize production cycle efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the quality team to analyze and address quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing preventive measures.
  • Monitor and report consumable and material need to the Materials Department preemptively, minimizing disruptions to production.

  • Conflict Resolution: Skill in resolving conflicts and addressing interpersonal issues among team members, promoting a harmonious work environment.
  • Time Management: Effective time management skills to meet production deadlines, manage competing priorities, and maximize productivity.
  • At least 2 years of direct supervisory experience with production, engineering, warehouse and quality functions in a manufacturing/plant environment
  • Familiarity with manufacturing/processing environment preferred
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate teams toward achieving production goals while fostering a positive work environment to drive productivity and employee engagement.
  • Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, materials management, and HR, to achieve production objectives.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing production demands, schedules, and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Organizational Skills: Capacity to organize and prioritize tasks effectively, including scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Problem-Solving: Aptitude for identifying and resolving production-related issues, including root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey job expectations, coordinate with various departments, and address issues promptly.
  • Technical Degree (BS) preferred or 5 years’ experience in associated manufacturing field.
