3 years of experience in maintenance within the water and wastewater industry, 2 of which in a supervisory or lead maintenance role.
Computer Skills :
Proficiency in general computer applications, including: a) Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) b) Data entry and management systems c) SCADA systems (desirable) d) Computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) e) knowledge of google software platform.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to assist in liaising with the Deputy or Site Leader, staff, and vendors.
Must be able to obtain certifications as required. Confined Space Entry Certification and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Training and other site specific training and certification as required.
Must be able to serve as a point of contact for 24 hour emergency on-call if required by site.
A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred but not required.
High School Diploma/GED is required.
Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements.
Knowledge of pumps, motors, valves, blowers, compressors, and SCADA systems.
Ability to work in high-pressure, emergency response situations.
Preferred knowledge of a) Electrical systems relevant to water/wastewater facilities b) Mechanical systems used in treatment plants c) Instrumentation and control systems for process monitoring and automation.
Operational Knowledge :
Comprehensive understanding of unit processes applicable to water and/or wastewater treatment facilities.
Ability to foster teamwork and collaboration, ensuring that communication flows smoothly across all team members to ensure team alignment and site goals are met.
