We are hiring a Commercial Application Engineer (CAE) to provide techno‑commercial leadership for core and complex control system transactions, partnering closely with the Sales team to drive growth across the region and reporting to the Regional Commercial Operations Leader.
The CAE will oversee the end‑to‑end proposal development process, influencing stakeholders from engineering to finance, and will be responsible for translating customer requirements into competitive, technically sound offers that align with global business objectives.
- Review customer specifications, drawings, RFPs/RFQs and create compliance tables.
- Act as the primary contact for deals, providing application engineering support to customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Lead the quoting process for both core and complex control system offerings using quoting tools, technical libraries, and design standards.
- Develop accurate cost estimates and manage technical, execution, and commercial risks throughout the Invitation to Offer (ITO) process.
- Coordinate with supply chain and external vendors to obtain pricing for extended project scopes.
- Collaborate with sales and pricing teams to define competitive pricing strategies and consolidate deal financials.
- Present deals for approval, manage tender schedules, ensure timely submissions, and readiness for order booking.
- Lead proposal development, support customer meetings and negotiations, and manage project handover to execution teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs).

6+ years
Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, have 6+ years of experience in tendering, application engineering, or field service for industrial control systems, and possess strong knowledge of unit control, DCS, generators, HMIs, and cybersecurity.
- Possess proficiency with MS Office, Salesforce, CPQ, and other quoting platforms.
- Willingness to travel 20‑30% for customer meetings and business development activities.
- Demonstrated ability to write proposals/specifications, solve problems creatively, and guide less‑experienced colleagues.
- Advanced degrees (Engineering or MBA) are considered a plus.
