Electrical Engineer - Battery & Solar

Description

• Design and materiel selection for Solar PV & Battery storage systems
• Lead technical inputs into projects to Australian standards
• Co-ordinate and aid creation of drawings based on project designs
• Attend site inspections and assist with pricing, bill of materials
• Support all teams with technical related queries and issues
• Design solar distribution boards
• Prepare system schematics & PV Layout, including HV, LV, DC & AC
• Generate and submit network applications and DCR’s for energy projects
• Scope works, provide quotes and proposals in-line with Business Development Manager proposals
• Resolve technical issues during installation, make amendments to design/requirements where necessary
• Support customers with renewable energy and energy storage systems design
• Commission renewable energy and battery/injection testing grid protection relays

Requirements

• Ideally RPEQ registered however not completely essential
• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Time spent working closely and being involved with Solar &/or Energy Storage system design
• Digital Engineering & Modelling (PowerCAD, AutoCAD, PVSyst, Helioscope)
• SAA Accredited for Grid Connected PV, Standalone PV & Battery
• Considerable number of years working in the Renewable Energy sector in Australia
