  • Input daily repair reports into software-based tracking program. SAP
  • Must wear protective equipment while on the job
  • Diagnose air brake air ride and lighting issues and perform mechanical repairs and maintenance to various types of trailers including but not limited to aluminum and steel trailers, dock height and drop deck.
  • Operate fixed and mobile equipment as necessary
  • Must wear protective equipment while at the location
  • Comply with all Safety, Health, Environmental and other Company policies, procedures, and requirements
  • Drive Company service truck to perform road calls, mobile maintenance
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment

  • Use a wide variety of hand and power tools, cutting torches and welding equipment
  • Communicate with drivers and plant managers to ensure adherence to preventative vehicle maintenance policies and practices
  • Create work orders on repairs and services providing legible and accurate information for work performed
  • May assist in the maintenance and repair of fixed equipment
  • Perform routine brake inspections/ adjustments on commercial vehicles following Federal DOT requirements.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance services and DOT’s and fill out accompanying paperwork

  • 3 years related experience, training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Mechanical Experience
  • Exerting 10 – 20 pounds of force continually
  • Walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
  • Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors
  • Exerting 25 – 50 pounds of force frequently
  • CDL Class A a plus but not required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ASE certifications a plus

  • Able to understand, interpret, communicate, and execute with exactness instructions given in both verbal and written form
