Finance Assistant

Description

• Inputting cost journals in line with relevant procedures with appropriate approval and communication.
• To assist the Accounts function with site account tasks as required, to ensure accurate and timely records.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders as required.
• Process allocated staff expenses in accordance with the Costain policy.
• Recording, processing and investigating invoice queries and ensuring a timely resolution.
• Assist accounting team with month end processes, ensuring accurate recording of costs.
• Reconcile creditor accounts, fuel charges, purchase cards and other similar administrative support duties.

Requirements

• Previous experience in an accounting or accounts assistant position.
• Ability to work well under pressure, solving problems in a calm and rational manner and always acting with integrity.
• Computer competence (MS Word, Excel, document and finance management systems)
• Relevant A-Levels or BTech qualifications
• Have clear written and oral communication skills.
• Experience of using EnterpriseOne (E1) or other accountancy software.
• At least 9 GCSE's
