The incumbent will manage FLS staff and oversee project scope, schedule, and budget while monitoring financial performance and ensuring timely invoicing. They will plan and coordinate project timelines, integrate QA/QC reviews, and guarantee that all deliverables meet Arora’s quality standards and warranty requirements.
Design responsibilities include producing comprehensive fire protection and alarm documents, performing conceptual to detailed design, and coordinating with architectural and structural teams. The engineer will conduct site surveys, review submittals, perform inspections, identify safety risks, and act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and authorities having jurisdiction.
In addition to core duties, the position supports the growth of the FLS practice through recruitment, mentorship, and business development activities such as targeted marketing and proposal writing. Participation in industry events and the development of standard documentation and processes are also expected.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, have at least ten years of fire protection experience, and possess a Professional Engineering (PE) license. Familiarity with NFPA codes, proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and hydraulic modeling tools, and strong communication skills are essential; CFPS or NICET certifications are preferred.
