Liaise with suppliers, classification societies and other external parties.
1st point of contact for the international crew in case of technical questions or defects.
Regular visits to vessels offshore for technical inspections and problem solving.
Managing the maintenance progress and quality on board.
Coordinate, draw up & monitor maintenance budgets, carry out maintenance work on board and monitor quality standards.
Supervising and providing technical advice and support to the chief engineers on board. You will investigate and analyze technical defects and take preventive and corrective measures in a timely manner.
Planning, organizing, supervising repairs, inspections and dockings and the preparation of final technical and financial reports.
Monitoring and updating of ship certificates and technical documents.

Where you will work: You will work in Doha, Qatar on a permanent base (family status) and will be required to travel occasionally.
Excellent managerial and project management skills.
At least 5 years of experience as technical superintendent and experience as chief engineer.
High level of organizational and planning skills, and the ability to balance multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines.
Fluent command of the English language, spoken and written.
International work experience, preferably gained in the Middle East.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver high quality outcomes that are accurate, complete, and timely.
A Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Maritime engineering or Naval Engineering.
